Personally, I think that whoever shot the Rott did so either by accident, or in the full knowledge that they were shooting at a dog. >:( But that's just MY theory.AKDDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10533003137934379516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6589783647802842771.post-53596855762058543772008-09-21T22:26:00.000-07:002008-09-21T22:26:00.000-07:00Wait... They went to work, I guess, and when they came home the dog was back, sporting a new and unfortunate piercing. So they don't actually know HOW it happened, although the bullet travelled upward from the point of entry, so it's possible the dog was up on a ridge when he was shot (with the shooter aiming from below). There's no knowing, since there were no witnesses, if it was a random accident (people sometimes DO just go shooting in their back yards up here, though it's inadvisable), of if they were trying to kill the dog, or if (as the owners believe) the dog was mistaken for a black bear.AKDDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10533003137934379516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6589783647802842771.post-17764609554162481922008-09-21T07:57:00.000-07:002008-09-21T07:57:00.000-07:00Dave's question about the locality of the shooting...Dave's question about the locality of the shooting is kinda important; I'm glad he asked.
